CPC Biotech srl wurde 2006 gegründet und ist eines der weltweit führenden Unternehmen im Bereich der Herstellung von analytischen Enzymen für die Qualitätskontrolle in der Pharma-, klinischen Chemie- und Lebensmittelindustrie.
 
Die Herausforderung 

Produktionsstätten im pharmazeutischen Bereich erfordern sehr präzise Temperatur- und Feuchtigkeitsbedingungen. Angesichts dieser Anforderung stand der Planer der Klimaanlagen von CPC Biotech vor einer dreifachen Herausforderung:

  • Aufrechterhaltung einer konstanten Temperatur und Luftfeuchtigkeit während des ganzen Jahres in den Kulturbereichen der Anlage, die in Reinräumen der Klasse ISO 7 errichtet wurden.
  • Gewährleistung des Komforts in den verschiedenen Bereichen des Gebäudes. 
  • Begrenzung der Kosten für die Klimaanlage, die sowohl die Produktionsbereiche als auch die anderen Bereiche versorgt.

The solution

To maintain a controlled and constant humidity and temperature level all year round in the production areas of the culture mediums used to evaluate the antibiotic load or resistance of bacteria (petri dishes), the designer chose a hydronic type air-conditioning system based on air handling units powered by two Clivet polyvalent air-cooled WDAT-iK4 340.2 heat pumps of 700 kW each. 

The multi-purpose units produce hot and chilled water to serve the AHUs to maintain controlled conditions in the production areas and proper comfort in the offices. 

The two polyvalents are coordinated in cascade by the Intelliplant system, which manages the sequence of the two polyvalents according to the demands of the plant, the consumption of which is measured by Clivet with flow meters.  

Intelliplant also manages the operating logic of the pumping units by keeping the flow rate constant at the primary and variable at the secondary, guaranteeing lower pump consumption.

Multifunctional units are the perfect solution for industrial buildings where there is a simultaneous demand for heating and cooling throughout the year. 
Management via a proprietary supervisory system of the same company supplying the cooling units allows the most efficient working combination to be worked out already according to the operating conditions. 
In addition to this, we use dynamic control logics to analyse the data collected to carry out a predictive diagnosis of the units and the plant. 
 
CPC Biotech commentary on results  
The installation of the Intelliplant system has optimised the plant's energy consumption and optimised its management. 
In addition to this, the Intelliplant system communicates directly with the Clivet after-sales service, which can intervene in the resolution of any maintenance problems independently, without the customer having to make a direct request for intervention.  
 
Results 
The system adopted makes it possible to respect the humidity and temperature conditions required by the end customer's production, as well as obtaining the correct comfort in the rooms, all while saving energy and thus cutting running costs.
